Life Words

It is a beautiful Monday and we are praying for you today! This week is a week to think about our Risen Lord, and so it will be a great week! Today I want to remind you of the reality of the Five amazing doctrines of Christ. God's love for you and I and the whole world is amazing. Jesus came to seek and save that which was lost. He came to destroy the works of the evil one. He came that we might have LIFE and have at its fullest. Because He lives, We live. He pursued us by His love and continues to draw us to Himself. In Him is life and light and love.....Wow! It is a great day. Please read on, and understand these five great works of God on our behalf.

First, we must never forget that we were born with a sin nature that we inherited from Adam. Every person born since Adam is born with this problem. Sin. Separation from our God, because He is holy. Roman's 3:23 states that ALL have sinned and fall short of God's glory. And in 6:23 you remember that the wages or penalty of sin is death (separation from God's life). BUT! God demonstrated His love for us that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us! I'm so thankful.

God loves you and I so much! He wants a family, He wants to Live is us. Its important to know the truth behind these five doctrines.

Incarnation: Oh how great this mystery...God becoming a man! God manifest in the flesh! The Word becoming flesh and dwelling among us! Immanuel, God with us! The incarnation is one of the most amazing of all miracles. Not only did God become a man, but that Man, Jesus Christ is God!

Redemption: God became a Man, so He could die as a man, for man, in man's place. Jesus suffered and died on the cross, shed His blood, took all the sin of the world upon Himself, received the penalty of all the wrath of God in Himself, by His scourging purchased our healing; by His redemptive death He drew into Himself the cumulative sting and poison and venom of Hell and defeated it! Through death Jesus destroyed him who had the power of death and thereby redeemed mankind for all time from all enemies! Oh what a great redemption we have! Eternally redeemed by Christ and His Finished Work on the Cross!

Resurrection. After declaring to all that He would rise again on the third day, the Jewish High Priest and Counsel did all they could, along with Pilate and the most disturb of all - Satan and all his cohorts, did the best they could to keep Jesus buried. BUT THEY COULD NOT! Jesus did indeed did conquer death, by rising on the third day, thus proving He was God. Because Jesus defeated Death, Death no longer has a hold on us! Not only have we been crucified with Christ and buried with Christ, but now we are also RISEN WITH CHRIST! Resurrection power is now ours! The resurrection is more than a doctrine. It is a Person! And we are raised with Jesus Himself. Now the Resurrection and the Life is living in us! Oh how great is that resurrection power that is now at work in us who believe!

Ascension: Oh how marvelous the grace of God! Man, once God's enemy, hated and hateful, is now, through Christ's Blood, reconciled to God. Jesus Christ, as our High Priest, has ascended into heaven, taking His Blood to sprinkle on the Mercy Seat as our High Priest. In doing this, the wall of separation between God and man was removed, providing access between us and The Father.

Pentecost: Tune in tomorrow for THIS GREAT EVENT AND PROMISE FOR ALL!
