Grace and More Grace!

lifewords..............grace and more grace.....9/02/10
You are God's Masterpiece! He loves you with an everlasting love this day! I prayed for you this morning confident in His faithfulness to His promises!!

I've been thanking God for His grace today and just thinking about it.  Everything is by His grace.   Our forgiveness is "according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom." (Eph. 1:7).  I'm so thankful for forgiveness by His grace abounding to us today aren't you?

Again in Ephesians 2:8 for "by grace you have been saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God."  God's free gift, received as an act of our faith, never earned.  I'm so thankful for our salvation by grace aren't you?

"Grace" is from the word Charis which means unmerited favor, undeserved blessing.

This from our God who loves us with an everlasting love!

And remember 2Cor. 9:8?  "God is able to make all grace abound toward you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have abundance for every good work." Wow! I want all of His grace abounding toward me today! His grace makes us sufficient in all! But there is a key to experiencing God's grace and more grace.

Humility.

The key  to experiencing God's grace abounding to us is our humility. Think about the living Word of God regarding the relationship between grace and humility.

James 4:6 ...  God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.  Draw near to God and HE will draw near to you.  Cleanse your hands, you sinner; and purify your hearts, you double minded.....v.10 humble yourself in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

Pr 3:34 ... Surely He resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

1 Peter 5:5 ...  Submit one to another, and be clothed with humility, for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Prov 22:4  ...  By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, honor and life.

Humility and grace go hand in hand! And guess what, the Word says we are to humble ourselves. . We choose humility.  Daily. We determine to cast our pride, our self will, our fears, our opinions, our arrogance, our attitudes, our achievements, our dependence upon any thing or any one other than Him, everything about our carnal nature.... Upon the altar of His grace. And allow the power of His blood to cover and cleanse us. Not religious humility, but a continual, on purpose acknowledging of His Lordship, a willingness to obey His Word, and a realization that apart from Him, we can do nothing. Think about our Lord Jesus in the garden. He showed us about humility when He said to the Father, "nevertheless, not My will but Yours be done." (Matt 26:39)

Oh that this would be the prayer of our hearts today!
