Lifewords strength to strength series 30 of 35 Strength Armour, The Belt of Truth

lifewords strength to strength series 30/35
THE BELT OF TRUTH

The Command: Put on God's complete armor of a heavy armed soldier, so as to be able to successfully resist all the devil's methods of attack; to stand up to and keep your position against all the strategies, tactics, intrigues, cunning schemes, tricks and deceits of the Evil One (Eph. 6:11)

Here is a helpful daily guide to verbally "put on" Truth like a Belt in a prayer confession. Of course, the key is to live our days in the Truth of God's Word, but I believe we are to "put on" the Armour by renewing our minds to the Word and speaking His Word out loud as a prayer to Him. He has commanded us to put on the Armor, not just as a religious exercise, but yielding to Him in obedience to His Word and trusting that He will help us and teach us. We must be serious about God's Armour if we are to be strong in Him. I "Put On" the Belt of Truth as a daily habit, out loud, with conviction, in a prayer like this one. Every sentence is based on Scripture. This daily practice has changed my life and fortified me.

Today I fasten the belt of truth securely around me. I put on the Lord Jesus Christ head to toe, and make no provision for the flesh or plans to fail! I walk in the light as He is in the light; and I walk in the Truth which sets me free, that am born again, a new creation, old things are gone, all things are made new! Lord, help me become a mature child of God who knows my place, position, power and purpose. According to Your Word, You have blessed me with all spiritual blessings and with all things necessary for life and godliness, so I receive it. Because I identify with Your death on the cross, I also identify with You in Your resurrected, eternal life. According to your Word in the Book of Romans, "I've been crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live. Yet not I, but Christ lives in me. And the life that I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loves me and gave His life for me." I abide in You and Your Word abides in me! Jesus, You are the Lord of my life. You are my Strength, my Wisdom, my Holiness, my health, my life, my All in All! Thank You that You have chosen to live in me and because of that, I am more than a conqueror, victorious in all circumstances. In You, I am an over comer and I will live this day in Your kingdom of love, light, life and liberty. I will live in the truth, obey Your Word, and change this world for Your glory! I believe that I am who the Bible says I am, I have what the Bible says I have and I can do what the Bible says I can do!  I thank you Lord, in Jesus Name.

Lifewords strength to strength series 29 of 35 Strength Armour

lifewords strength to strength series 29/35

Ephesians 6 gives us a clear command regarding our strength in God for this journey of life. Paul is giving final instructions regarding the strength needed for every believer every day and an essential habit to which we must daily give attention.

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, With the breastplate of righteousness in place,

15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people."

To walk in the strength that God freely supplies, we must choose to develop the habit of intentionally putting on this spiritual Armour every day of life. Give attention to it!!!!!!! Tomorrow I will teach you an effective way to put on Truth like a belt. Let's be strong in God and in the power of His might!

Lifewords strength to strength series 28 of 35 Strength Armour

lifewords strength to strength series 28/35

The Book of Ephesians is powerful description of the life we are to live in Christ.  In chapter one we learn of our possessions in Christ (every spiritual blessing!)  In Chapters two and three we discover our position in Christ (fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God!). In Chapters four through six we see our purpose in Christ (to have a walk worthy of the calling).

Then, in Chapter 6 we understand that to effectively carry out our purpose it will require God's strength. He says, "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might." Paul's final concern is that the Christian be strong, so that we can finish our course well for the glory of our King. Not strong in ourselves, but in the strength of God. He explains how: "Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the principalities and powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places."

We must understand that every day we have an enemy who wages war against us and against God's purposes. But, we have been given everything necessary to live in victory. Paul explains how we must live in this Battle Zone every day of our life."Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm." Our strength comes from God alone, and we can choose every day of our life to put on the spiritual armor that He supplies.  We put on Truth, like a belt.  We put on righteousness which acts as a breast plate.  We put on the Gospel of Peace as shoes.  We take up faith, like a shield.  We put on salvation like a helmet. We become experts in God's Word which is the Sword of the Spirit. And the most important part... learning to pray with perseverance every day of our life.

Lifewords strength to strength series 27 of 30 Choose Strength

lifewords strength to strength series 27/30
We can choose Strength

The best news is that we can choose the kind of life we want to live. In Deuteronomy 30:19  it says, "Behold I set before you this day life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore choose life so that you and your seed can live, by loving the Lord your God, by obeying His voice, and boy holding fast to Him;"

Every decision you make is either moving you closer to life and blessing or death and cursing. The Lord has given us a free will, the power to choose life. He will also allow us not to choose life, but the Word encourages us to CHOOSE LIFE!!! Oh the power of our free will! No matter what circumstances may be happening, we have a choice what our future is like. God has a perfect future planned for us, but He does not force us to choose it. He has given us the power to choose His ways, choose life. We choose to love. We choose to forgive. We choose to receive God's love and free gift of forgiveness. We choose to renew our minds with God's Word daily. We choose to make time in the secret place to pray to our Father. We choose joy. We choose obedience. We choose to be a blessing to others.

Regarding strength, we can choose a life of being strong in God. We can choose to obey God in the areas that the Word declares will cause us to be strong.  He is the Strength of our life, we can choose Him or choose to stay weak.  Every day we can choose to Come to Him, Call upon Him, Worship Him, run to Him, abide in Him, Follow Him, Stay in the Word, stay in Prayer, choose Joy, wait upon Him, forgive others, learn to guard our words, forgive others, walk in Love, repent of sin, obey the leading of the Holy Spirit, choose to trust in Him, not be overwhelmed with anxiety because of circumstances. We can choose a life of strength and blessing in God. He offers His Strength for all of our days, Let's choose to receive it! Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might!

Lifewords strength to strength series 26 of 30 a life lived well

lifewords strength to strength series 26/30

five commands for a well lived life

Throughout God's  living, transforming Word, we are given instructions on how to live this life well.   One of my favorites is in 1 Corinthians 16:13. The Holy Spirit, through Paul, commands us to give attention to five things "Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all you do be done in love." . Join me in memorizing these and praying every day for these to be a reality in our lives. A life lived well is a collection of single days lived well. Have faith to believe that the Lord will help you master these five today. He will teach us how and give us grace to obey His leading.

"Be watchful."
We must be alert, alert in prayer, alert in how we spend our time, aware of the hour in which we are living, watchful of the snares and traps of our enemy,  alert in guarding our hearts and actions. Watching and praying. Watching and praising.  Watching and obeying. Watching and armed for battle.
Keeping an alert watch concerning sin in our lives and being quick to repent and receive forgiveness.  Lord, teach us how to be watchful today in Jesus Name. Please forgive us for slackness, not paying attention.

"Stand firm in the faith."
Standing firm in God's Word. Not being blown off course. Feet planted securely on the foundation of God's promises. Not wavering in doubt or unbelief, but firm in faith.
Lord, teach us how to stand firm in faith this day. Forgive us of unbelief and wavering.

"Act like men."
Be mature. Grow up in Christ. Don't be foolish but understand what the will of the Lord is. Stop whining. Don't compromise. Don't act like spiritual children, but mature men and women of God positioned as leaders.
Lord, show us how to act like mature men and women of God, not like foolish children but understanding what Your will is and obeying You. Please forgive us for the ways we have acted like children. Teach us to be men and women of God.

"Be Strong."
Don't  just think about being strong BE strong in the Lord and the power of His might. Don't be weak in unbelief. Be strong in His presence.  Be strengthened with might on the inside by spending time in prayer, in renewing our minds to the Word, staying committed to daily prayer, living a life pleasing to God.
Lord strengthen us with your strength as we submit our lives to you moment by moment. Forgive us for trying to rely on our own strength.

"Let all that you do be done in love."
Reminds us of the great commandment given to us by Jesus, Love the Lord our God with all our heart soul mind and strength and love others as we love ourselves.  Let love be the motivation of all. Selflessness
. Lord, we love you with all that we are. Forgive us for the motivations of our heart that have not been in expressed in love. Deliver us from selfishness. Teach us how to love like You love. Fill us afresh with Your love so that we can serve and love others as You taught us. In Jesus Name.

Lifewords strength to strength series 25 of 30

lifewords strength to strength series 25/30
Strength in God's Word
We can be strong in God by being strong in His Word!  The apostle Paul had keen understanding concerning the spiritual battle in which every believer is engaged and the urgency of maintaining daily spiritual strength. He understood it because the Holy Spirit revealed it to him, and the Holy Spirit reveals it to us through Paul's epistles. Ephesians 6:10 is an urgent command. "Finally"....meaning.....the most important final thing.... "Be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might." Did you know we have a choice to be spiritually weak or strong?

Our daily strength in this spiritual battlefield of life will be directly proportional to the time spent in reading, studying, meditating on, hearing, speaking, and obeying God's Word. Ephesians 6 speaks of our spiritual weaponry, and we are to "take up the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God." We have a relentless enemy whose aim is to steal, kill and destroy the saints of God and to wear them out to a state of weakness and powerlessness. But we should never allow spiritual weakness to persist. How? By keeping God's Word as our daily priority. Speaking of Abraham, Romans 4:20 says that "By looking unto the promise of God He wavered not, but was strengthened in faith." Psalm 119:50 says, "Your Word has revived me and given me life." God's living Word is our daily Bread, it is the Lamp to our feet, it is the Strength of our Life and as the Sword of the Spirit it is our primary defensive and offensive weapon. Psalm 1 speaks of the man or woman who daily delights in God's Word, who will "be like a tree firmly planted by rivers of water, bearing fruit in its season and whose leaf shall not wither."

Our spiritual strength is directly proportional to the time spent in God's Word.  How exciting! Increase your commitment to His precious living Word and watch your spiritual strength soar. Choose strength!

Lifewords strength to strength series 24 of 30

lifewords strength to strength series 24/30

Jesus rose from that grave, He destroyed the grip of death! His precious blood purchased our forgiveness and redemption and gave us renewed access to fellowship with the Father. That is why we celebrate His resurrection every day. Our King is alive and He lives in us!!

One of the greatest truths about receiving Strength from our Lord for this journey of life is in Romans 8:11. It is a great verse to meditate on during this season. "And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you." Ask the Holy Spirit to ignite the reality of this verse on the inside of you and begin to thank Him and praise Him for it. Receive the resurrection strength of the Holy Spirit today. It is limitless. Lift your hands to God and thank Him that He lives in you and His life in you is overcoming all weakness, fear and insufficiency.

The Holy Spirit lives in us! The same power of the Holy Spirit that raised Christ from the dead will not only raise us from death one day, but gives us life this day. His resurrection life is in us today. Never forget Ephesians 2:6 that He has raised us up also! "And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus." Because we are "in Christ" we are to live above the circumstances around us.

Rejoice in the resurrection power of our precious Holy Spirit today. You have all of Him in you, not just some of Him. As you honor Him, love Him, fellowship with Him by spending time in God's Word, submit to Him, pray, worship Him and obey Him, you will experience His life and power at a whole new level!

Lifewords April 8 He is Risen!

lifewords He is Risen!

He is Risen! Matthew 28:1-6 says it all today.

''After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said."

Oh what a joyful day it is today for our Savior is Alive. He rose again on the third day just as He said He would. And because He lives, we live! I'm rejoicing with you today because our sins are forgiven, we have relationship with our Lord, He has given us eternal life in Him and He will never leave or forsake us! It was a glorious day the day the tomb was empty and it is a glorious day today because of the reality of His living presence in us. Be exceedingly glad today and tell everyone this good news how much God loves them!

Lifewords strength to strength series 23 of 30

lifewords strength to strength series 23/30  Good Friday
FBI
Strength  in the Cross

It's Good Friday!  One of the most powerful things we can remember as we think about our Savior on the Cross is the STRENGTH that comes to us when we receive the forgiveness He purchased for us   by His blood. That blood has power today! Oh that precious blood of the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world.  God pursued us when we were separated from Him because of sin, without hope, earth to rescue every one of us from sin and death.  Jesus came to seek and save that which was lost!

When we see the cross today, we can see forgiveness, reconciliation, and victory over the devil.  Receiving Forgiveness is an incredibly powerful aspect to receiving strength. Sin in our lives depletes strength. Rebellion in our lives saps our spiritual strength. But the greatest news is that His mercies are new every morning!  Forgiveness available because of the Cross. Today and every day of our lives we can act on 1 John 1:9. That if we confess our sin He is faithful to forgive us and cleanse us of all unrighteousness.

So  let's not just see the cross from a distance, let's come near to that cross now, acknowledge our failures and receive His mercy and forgiveness. Jesus paid the penalty for sin once and for all, He said "It is finished", He conquered death, rose from the dead, took His blood to that Mercy Seat to make atonement once and for all for all the sin of every person!  The veil in the temple was rent from top to bottom signifying that now there is no more separation between God and man because of the new and living way provided by Jesus. Now, this day,  and every day, we can approach our Father, bring all of our failures, our weakness, our sin, our mistakes to Him openly and receive mercy, forgiveness and cleansing!!!!  His blood is so powerful.

With forgiveness comes strength and a fresh renewing of His presence in our lives. So today, thank our Lord for the Cross, for His powerful blood that He shed so all of us can be forgiven. Because of that forgiveness, He now lives in us in the power of an endless life, and we have fellowship with Him continually. With daily repentance and receiving of forgiveness comes great strength in Him, because sin no longer holds us in its grip. Rejoice in the Cross! Jesus thank you, precious Lamb of God, for taking away our sin and the sin of the world by your Blood, by Your death on that cross. Love. Love. Love. Amazing Love.

lifewords strength to strength series 22/30

Jesus is alive! He is the Resurrection and the Life! Spend this week searching for those who do not
know our Savior and share with them the Good News of Easter.

I'm so thankful for His strength. We are strong today
because our resurrected Lord is with us. You can be sure of it.
He is with you
The precious Holy Spirit lives in you
.

He is the Strength of your heart and your portion forever.
He is with you and in Him is strength, joy and peace.
He is your ALL in ALL!
He said He would never ever leave or forsake us.
In Him is ALL STRENGTH Here are some promises to meditate on today.

Matt 28:20 "Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end.."

Hebrews 13:5,6 "He said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you.
So we may boldly say, The Lord is my Helper."

John 14:16,17 "......shall give you another Comforter,
to be with you always....for He dwells in you and shall be with you."

Genesis 28:15 "I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go; I will not leave you until I have done what I promised you."

That is why the weak can say, "I am strong"
because though we are weak in ourselves,
He lives in us and we can live in His strength.
Believe this truth today!

Glorious, Unlimited Resources of Strength

Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life! Let the reality of His Resurrection bring you great joy! I want to share with you the first part of a powerful prayer Paul prayed, led by the Holy Spirit, for the Ephesians. I'm praying this today for you, I'm praying this today for my family. You can too.

Ephesians 3:16 New Living Translation (NLT)

I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources

He will empower you with inner strength through His Spirit...

True Strength comes from the Spirit of the Living God who empowers us from the inside out. Let's pray for this limitless strength today from our Lord. And as we pray, let's believe God hears and answers our prayer. I'm so excited to pray this prayer with great faith for you and your family right now. Would you pray for me now as well? How we need His Strength for this journey. Memorize Paul's prayer and pray it often, knowing that His resources are glorious and have no limit. No limit. No ceiling. No ration. No measure. His resources are His Word. He is the Word. Through the living Word of God there is a continual flow of supply. We can't empower ourselves but we can pray and yield to the One who empowers us with His supply inner strength. The precious Holy Spirit abides in you, He is not far away. We don't need to pray for strength to come through a pipeline from a distant source. No, He is closer than our breath and has an unlimited supply of strength now. Our prayers are the faucet that turns on the supply. Oh how we need His unlimited supply of glorious, resources and strength from the inside out today. We are not weak but strong in the strength of God who supplies more than enough strength for ourselves with a surplus for us to give to others in unlimited supply. Thank you Lord!

Strength and Honor, Amy

Lifewords strength to strength series 20 of 30 strength in The Resurrection

lifewords strength to strength series 20/30
praise!  thank you so much for praying for the Rosenbohm family and the baby! The following day the doctors could find nothing wrong with his heart and everything normal!  Expecting healthy delivery April 9.  Thanks so much for praying.....Our God is awesome! thank you so much dear lifewords family.
Strength in The Resurrection

Happy Resurrection Week! I love John 11:25. Remember when Martha and Mary were so distressed because their dear brother Lazarus had died? They were overwhelmed with grief, their strength depleted from sorrow.  They were so disappointed in the circumstance  and  could only see the finality of death, even though the Lord of Life was standing right there with them! Their minds were on the circumstance, not on Word of God, the One able to bring the dead to life again!  Jesus said to them,"I am the Resurrection and the Life.  He who believes in Me, though he dies, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die Do you believe this?." John 11:25

Jesus is the Resurrection! He is Alive! He lives in us through the power of the Holy Spirit. The Resurrection swallows up weakness, anxiety, sorrow, disappointment and even those things that are seemingly dead in our lives. Every temporary circumstance is subject to change because of the Resurrection!
Take a moment and ask God to reveal Himself to you as the Resurrection and the Life today. You will receive strength in Him.  What really strikes me about this verse today is the final four words.  DO YOU BELIEVE THIS?  And that is the question today.  Do you really believe that Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life  for you and in you?  Martha's response to Jesus reveals that she is hoping for a future Resurrection.... after Jesus tells her that her brother will rise again, she says that she knows he will rise on the last day, in the future.  Here is the truth for us.....Yes we have the hope of of The Resurrection in our future, but the Lord wants us to see Him as the Resurrection today, this moment! He wants us to believe that He is the Resurrection and the Life in our life now, in our circumstance now, in the stressful things...now, in our  marriage now, in our family now, in our disappointments now, in His Church now, in our Nation now! Meditate on this verse today and ask the Lord to reveal Himself to you as the Resurrection and Life this week. You will live life on a whole new level.  He is the Resurrection and the Life......do you believe this??????
