Love Well

lifewordslifewordslifewords 7.5.10

Hello! It's a beautiful Monday.... still thanking God for our freedom in Him and the blessing of America. Remembering that all of God's promises are true .  He is faithful and His love for us  extravagant.  Love is the topic today.  His very presence of love lives in you, and His Word is abiding in you today.  You are the object of His love, and you are also the container of His love and the vessel of His love to the world.  His love in you is limitless......let's love our Lord WELL so that we can love  people WELL ! With actions that are on purpose.  Oh Lord, love through us!  Increase our capacity to love with Your kind of love. Help us to love well.

Let's love our families tangibly, love our friends, love the body of Christ, love strangers, love the hurting, love the nations, love the unlovely............in action.  Today we can forgive someone who does not deserve it.  We can believe the best of someone instead of criticizing them.  We can do something for someone that is inconvenient.  We can give sacrificially.  We can speak encouraging words to someone.  We can pray for someone. We can take time to invest in someone.  We can give someone the gift of giving them our full, sincere attention and really listening. We can shock someone by showing God's love. I'm going to ask the Holy Spirit to love through me today and pay attention to His leading.  True actions of love almost always require us to abandon the convenient, the easy way, and meeting our own needs.  Love will always move us into action.  Jesus was moved with compassion for people.

In true love we exchange what we want to do to obey what the Holy Spirit leads us to do.  Paul spoke speaks in 2 Cor. 5  of  Christ dying for all.  That "they who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf."  Love is never just on the inside.  Love compels us to action on behalf of others..  Jesus is our example. Think about His lavish love for the world.  The Lord has a limitless supply of love as we yield to Him today. He will increase our capacity to love others as we spend time with Him.

The love of Christ controls us........that we would live for Him..........if anyone is in Christ He is a new creation. The old has passed away behold He is a new creation! (2 Cor. 5:17)......... We are new creations of His love. We are messengers of reconciliation and ambassadors of His love.  Love will cause you to see a dying world and be moved to  really care, share the Gospel and pray for people.  Love will cause you to think about lost and hurting people and move you to minister to them.  Our Lord wants to love people through you this day.

I am  going to pray for you right now by name, in faith believing that His will and Word will be manifested in your life and for the love of God to consume you this week. Have a beautiful day beloved one.
