Be Anxious for Nothing but Pray about Everything!
I am so thankful for prayer. Not only is it our one great business as believers, but it is the means by which the will of God is released into our lives and the lives of others. Our faith filled praying brings God's aid into every situation. I was just thinking about what Jesus said in Matthew 7:7..... "Ask and you shall receive. Seek and you will find. Knock and the door will be opened." How awesome! With pure hearts, submitted to the Holy Spirit, we can expect Him to respond to us. Today, let's ask the Lord for more of Him. Let's seek His wisdom and direction. Let's continue knocking on the door of our supernatural Provider and Lover of our souls. And by faith, let's expect to receive.
What a privilege to be alive during history's darkest time. We get the be the Body of Christ, bringing His precious love, His life, His light, His presence to our families and to this world. Resistance abounds. Trials overwhelm. Circumstances rage. But here's what we do as believers. We remember these great confirming words the Lord spoke to His people who were in exile, through Jeremiah in Jer. 29:12 "'Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me. And I will listen to you, and you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. And I will be found by you,' declares the Lord." Wow! Our Creator wants to be found by us!!!! Today, you may not feel like you are just doing everything magnificently in your life...... you may feel there are situations out of your control. But you can draw near to your God in prayer, in faith, believing. You can pray for HIS will to be done. (Matthew 6) You can ask for wisdom and receive it. (James 1:5) You can pray according to the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit will watch over that Word to perform it. The Holy Spirit will teach you how to pray if you will submit to Him. He is our continual Teacher and Helper. Prayer brings the supernatural power and presence of God into every area of your life, every situation.
Have you noticed Jesus stayed in a continual prayer connection with the Father? He also pulled away to be alone in prayer often. Christ was one with God's plan and one with God's will. This must be our desperate pursuit! Move prayer to the forefront. Set a time apart from everyone to meet with your God in prayer. Pray on purpose. Pray according to God's Word. Pray with your family. When you speak with a friend, take a moment to pray. Pray with others. Pray throughout your day. Don't allow an hour to go by that you do not stop and connect with the Lord in prayer. Pray during the night. Spurgeon said, "One night alone in prayer might make us new men, changed from poverty of soul to spiritual wealth, from trembling to triumphing." Prayer is like the outstretched arms of a little child for a Father's help. And that is what we need. Prayer is the means by which we operate in the authority our Lord Jesus Christ has given us to release His will in the Earth.
Of all we could learn to do well in this life, let's learn to pray well. Never forget that our Lord loves you with an everlasting love. You are His masterpiece. Be encouraged! And never, never lose your JOY. Our Lord loves you with an everlasting love! He will never ever leave or forsake you. He has redeemed you. He has called you by Name. Love, Amy
