Dear Family,

It's an incredible Monday and we prayed for you today. Our Lord loves you with an everlasting love!  You are so precious to Him. I pray these words encourage and bless your life. I'm praying for the love and presence of God to overwhelm you  this day.
Love God's Word!

Today I want to encourage you to intentionally make God's Word the most important priority of your life.  I'm talking about time in His Word, being a student of the Word, fellowshipping with the living God every day in His Word. The Holy Spirit is our personal Teacher.  (John 14:26) Wow!  He will guide us into all truth. (John 16:13) Jesus is The Word. (John 1, Rev. 19:13)  If we really want to know Jesus, we must know Him through the Word.  The Holy Spirit will reveal truth to us as we ask Him to. "The Word is living and active and sharper than any two edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart." (Heb 4:12) Jesus said we can't live on bread alone....natural things.  He said we live by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4) His Word will refresh you today.  It will strengthen you today. The Word of His power will build you up today.  Don't be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind to the Word of God! (Romans 12:2)  And if you do this you will know the will of God for your life.  The Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.  Yay!  That is so wonderful to know during these days! How do we walk a pure life, how do we have victory over sin? By hiding the Word of God in our hearts, and submitting to it.  Jesus said in John 14:23, "if any man loves Me, he will keep my Word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him."  So we see that loving God is so much more than just saying we love God! If we love Him, we must keep His Word, and to keep His Word we must know His Word, and to know His Word we must spend much time in His Word each day. Whatever place the Word has in our life, is the place Jesus holds in our life.   We know that storms and trials will come.  You may be in some storms and trials right now.  You may be like Peter in Matthew 14:28-32, with wind and waves all around you and Jesus is asking you to step out of the boat onto the water and do the impossible. Peter fixed his eyes on Jesus and walked on the water, defying all his natural reasoning as well as the natural circumstances.  When he took his eyes off Jesus he began to sink.  So it is with us. We must fix our eyes on the Word (Jesus is the Word).  The storm might continue to rage, but we will not sink. Oh how He wants us to find Him in the pages of the Book.  Paul encouraged the saints  in Phil 2:16  to "hold fast the Word of Life." And again admonishing the Colossians in Col 3:16 to let the Word of Christ RICHLY dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another....." Oh that we would love the Word! That the Word of God would dwell richly in us, in our hearts and minds and of the abundance of our hearts, our mouths would speak according to God's Word and bring life to all around us.  Of all that we model for our children, we must teach them to treasure God's Word and live their lives in its relentless pursuit.
