Be encouraged, for the Lord will strengthen you today! Allow David's words in Psalm 138:3 to take root in your heart. "In the day that I CALLED (the word implies an urgent cry, pray, call out to,) You answered me; and You strengthened me with strength in my inner self." Our King, who is intimately acquainted with all our ways and is the Author and the Finisher of our faith, hears the call of his beloved ones. As a parent to the cry of their child, our Father responds to our cry for help, our call for HIM! Our continual dependence on Him for His strength is demonstrated by our commitment to prayer. Make much prayer the order of the day. The more you have to do, the more strength you need, the more prayer necessary!!!! Observe Jesus in Matthew, Mark Luke and John, who we see rising up a great while before the dawn to find a solitary place to CALL upon the Father. It was in this place He received the Father's direction and strength for the day. Our Savior, ordered His days around prayer to the Father. He intentionally stayed in a moment by moment prayer connection. Be jealous over your time with the Lord in prayer, it is the essential priority of your day. Then ask Him to help you to position yourself in a place of continual prayer. As you call, your Father will strengthen you, establish you, refresh you, direct you and fill you afresh with His presence. Jesus said in Luke 18:1, "Men ought always to pray and NOT faint." The two are connected! Much prayer, much strength. Little prayer, little strength. Our strength is from the Lord. Call. He will answer. He will strengthen you with His strength, from the inside out! |
