You are amazing, you are His masterpiece!  Thanks for reading "lifewords"!                      I'm asking the Holy Spirit to reveal Jesus to us, open our eyes to the reality of Who He is. As we see Him we can know Him. And when we know Him, we will truly love Him with all our heart, mind, soul and strength. As we love Him and allow His Lordship in our lives, we will decrease and He will increase. I so want to be filled with His presence and live a life consecrated to His will, directed by His love.                     We've been focusing on knowing Jesus, based on Psalm  9 "Those that know Your Name will put their trust in you."   We must know His Name! We must know who He is, from the Word! Today's lifewords center around Jesus being the  Light of the World. We've all heard this phrase so often it can almost be cliché.....but right now ask the Lord to reveal Himself to you as the Light, so you can fall even more in love with Him. I'm praying for you now. Never forget that you are His beloved, He loves you with an everlasting love. amy | lifewords! August 4, 2010                                          As it begins to get light out this morning I was thinking of what David said in Psalms 113:3 that "from the rising of the sun until the time that it goes down, the Name of the Lord shall be praised! "As the day begins today I'm remembering Psalm 27 that says "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life, whom shall I dread?" He is our light!  We can welcome this day with hope and confidence.                                           Jesus Himself declared, "I am the Light of the world, He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life." I am so thankful that we are not lost in darkness.  What does it mean to walk in darkness? It is living a life of fear, uncertainty, not knowing which way to go, confusion, desperation. But as His children we can walk in His light today. This is so awesome! In His light we see light. "His Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. " (Ps. 119:105) In Ephesians, Paul exhorts us to live in the light! He says in verse 5:8 that "we are to walk as children of light."  We can rejoice today because Jesus is our Light. We must arise and shine today, for our Light has come! (Isaiah 60:1) In 1 John 1:5  we can see that "God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all."  Oh let's live in His presence today, in the light of the Word of God. If we will spend much time with Him, time in the Word, time in prayer, time worshipping, and in continual fellowship with Him throughout the day His light will illuminate our path, bring understanding to our minds and reveal His purposes. Walking in His light is living in a place of joy and security, free from fear.                      It's amazing to see that just as Jesus said He is the Light of the world, He also declares in Matthew 5:14 something very amazing about you and I.  He wants us to understand this. "YOU are the light of the world.  A city set on a hill cannot be hidden." He is our light, His Word is our light and now we are carriers of His light to this dark world. Proclaim His Word to all those around you and allow His Light to invade darkness everywhere you go today. He is the Light of the World and you are a carrier of His marvelous light. | Through the New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs in 40 Days                         Day 27/40 Proverbs                     4  Psalms 65-68   Romans 1-6 | | | |
