Today let's focus on the Ministry of our precious Holy Spirit. When Jesus left this earth He told His disciples that it was expedient or advantageous that He go, because He was going to send another Comforter who would be with us forever. And He did! (John 16:7) Since that day, Jesus is in heaven with the Father. The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Christ, comes to dwell in the heart of every believer when they receive Jesus as their Savior and Lord at the New Birth. He then promises us that if we will believe and yield to His fullness, He will fill us and will be our constant Companion every day of our lives.
Awesome!
I want you to experience a fresh infilling of His presence now...Just lift your hands to Him and honor Him and worship Him and ask Him to fill you afresh. Acknowledge any unconfessed sin, receive forgiveness and submit yourself to His leading and Lordship. Ask Him to fill you to overflowing with His presence. The Bible says that we are to continually be being filled with the Holy Spirit. The Ministry of the Holy Spirit is so precious.
He wants us to know Him well.
The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Godhead. He is God. He is not an it, but the Divine Person of the Holy Spirit Who operates in complete unity with the Father and the Son. He is the One Who demonstrates the Word of God in us and through us. He is the great Paraclete. (Parakletos) This word means Helper, One who stays alongside to assist continually. Continually! The Holy Spirit is our Helper for every aspect of our lives. (Matt 14:6, John 14:26,15:26) He will help us in understanding the Word, in our thoughts, in our love walk, in our character, in relationships, in doing the will of God, in praying, in everything! He is our constant Companion and Helper. He is our Teacher. (Jn. 14:26) Aren't you glad that He will teach us how to live, how to be a parent, how to be successful in business, how to manage our lives, how to navigate through difficult times, how to love people, how to be excellent, how to finish our race! He knows about it all.
He demonstrates Himself where He is welcomed. He can be grieved, but He never leaves us. He is love, because He is God. He gives us power to be a witness for Christ. (Acts 1:8) He convicts of sin, righteousness and judgment. (Jn. 16:8) He is the Comforter. He is our Advocate. He is the One who sheds abroad the Love of God in our hearts so we can love people unconditionally and with unlimited capacity. (Romans 5:5) He is the Spirit of Life. He is the Spirit of Truth. (Jn. 15:26) He is the Spirit of Adoption. He is the Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, Who dwells in us. Death has no power over us because of the indwelling resurrection power of the Holy Spirit! He opens the eyes of our understanding and guides us into all truth. (Jn. 16:13) He shows us things to come (John 16:13). He reveals the plan of God to us. He brings to our remembrance the Word of God. (Jn. 14:26) He gives us power to live a victorious, magnificent life for the glory of our King.
He wants our relationship with Him to be the most precious in our lives.
The Holy Spirit will indwell us, fill us, refresh us and abide with us continually as we invite Him and allow Him. But, He will not share the space with other things that are constantly trying to crowd Him out of our lives. We choose Him. He dwells where there is sincerity, humility and a heart to submit to Him and honor Him. The normal Christian life is a Spirit led life. A life submitted to the leading of the Holy Spirit will be a life well lived, a life finished well, a life that impacts lives for eternity. Teach us Holy Spirit, reveal truth to us,
You are welcome to dwell in us.
